Ted Downum was born in Phoenix, Arizona; grew up in Littleton, Colorado; studied English at the University of Kansas; and earned his MFA in Fiction from the Mile-High MFA Program at Regis University, Denver. He is pursuing publication for (some or all of) his master’s thesis, a short-story collection entitled The Emergency Contact. He lives in Denver.
