Sara Khayat was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. She graduated from California State University, Northridge with a BA in English/Creative Writing and a minor in Psychology and is a founder and editor-in-chief of Paper Plane Pilots. Her work has appeared in voicemailpoems, Every Writer's Resource, Chaparral, Atlas & Alice, and various other online and print magazines. Her latest book, ¶: unspeakable poems, experiments with strikethrough and language (nouns that become verbs, verbs that become nouns in different contexts). She always chose truth over dare at elementary school parties. Proof of her writing can be dated all the way back to old kindergarten findings and floppy disks. Her mind is full of wildflowers, ladybugs and grey matters. Give her a shout and she’ll give you a whisper.
