Allissa Hertz earned an MFA in Creative Writing from Regis University. She received a BFA in Creative Writing and BA in Speech-Theater from Arkansas Tech University. She was the Fall 2013 Editor of Nebo: A Literary Magazine. She was the 2010 first place winner of Arkansas Tech's Annual Creative Writing Contest. She was warded Writer of the Year Second Runner-Up at the 2010 A.S.P.A convention, First Runner-Up at the Arkansas State Finals of Poetry Out Loud in 2010, and was nominated for Sounder Press' 2020 Best Small Fictions. Allissa is the lead technical writer for M.E.P. CAD (software). Her works are published in december, Progenitor, The A3 Review & Press, The Esthetic Apostle, and other publications.
